Last year, we challenged ourselves to be the spark, to set an example for what it means to respect and support all. This year, we want to recognize that lasting change isn't built by individuals alone, but by communities committed to a common cause. We are grateful to be already surrounded by many wonderful communities here in Salt Lake, at the University of Utah and in Beta.
Our mission is to inspire our local communities to establish cultures of change. Creating a community for change reflects our mission by recognizing that this goal cannot be accomplished alone. It will require the combined efforts of our fraternity, our alumni association, Betas around the country, the University of Utah, and the greater Salt Lake City community.
Every contribution will help us build a community whose efforts support our local Rape Recovery Center and reflect its mission. Together, we can create a community based on empathy, compassion, a desire to change and support survivors.
